I have been breeding Silkie Bantams since 1999, with a specialty in rare and new colors. These are my own line that I have been breeding for all this time, with a few outcrosses to maintain vigor or bring in traits that I want in my flock. I had to take a break from breeding a lot and just hatched a few chicks per year to keep the line going, but am finally able to get going again on a larger scale. I primarily work with Dominant White Golds/Red Pyle, Partridge, & Wheaten but also occasionally have Paint. They get to dig, run, play, and socialize like they were meant to. If you are looking for healthy happy birds, you have come to the right place. We are located in Clarkston Michigan, near downtown & I-75. We do not ship at this time.
Silkies are a unique breed of chicken that make exceptional pets and broodies. They have black skin, bones, (and meat), blue earlobes, 5 toes per foot, hairlike feathers and fluffy crests. I have been breeding them since 1999. They come in many colors. There are 2 recognized types (bearded and non-bearded), and also come in a type called Showgirl. The Showgirls have naked necks and are not as prone to overheating in the summer (yet are hardy even in our below freezing winters).
This page is dedicated to my other chickens, including any fun breeding projects and crosses.
